Overview

Join us for DigiShift 81, where we will explore the essentials of selecting the right CRM (or database) for your charity. This session will give you the knowledge and tools you need to make informed decisions about your CRM or database, how data is stored and how it is used. Our expert speakers, Kate White and Alice Linell from Superhighways, will share their extensive experience and insights, drawing from the comprehensive guide Choosing a Database developed by their organisation. 

Kate White has extensive experience in digital transformation for non-profits, specialising in data management and CRM implementation. Alice Linell brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic planning and digital tools for charities. Together, they will guide you through the critical steps in selecting and implementing a CRM that aligns with your charity's needs, goals, users and budget. 

During this session we will cover: 

  • Identifying your needs: how to assess and articulate your charity’s specific requirements for a CRM
  • Evaluating options: key factors to consider when comparing different CRM systems, including functionality, scalability, and cost
  • Data migration: best practices for transferring existing data to a new CRM system without losing vital information

  • Cost considerations: understanding the total cost of ownership, including upfront costs and long-term expenses
  • Security and compliance: ensuring your CRM meets data protection regulations and maintains the security of your sensitive information
