Overview

Join us for DigiShift 84, where we will explore how Marie Curie UK's Innovation team, led by Gemma Rawlins, revolutionised their project delivery using agile methodologies. This session will delve into the practical application of agile practices to significantly cut down delivery times, enhance team collaboration, and foster a proactive culture within the organisation. Gemma will be sharing how the team managed to reduce their innovation cycle from six months to just eight weeks. This transformation not only increased efficiency but also allowed them to respond to challenges and opportunities more swiftly. We will get insights on how to bring about meaningful cultural shift within teams - moving from a mindset of limitations to one of possibilities. Gemma will share how this optimistic outlook helped the team to think creatively and tackle problems. Finally you will get an understanding of how the team developed processes that suited their unique needs rather than adhering to rigid, one-size-fits-all methodologies. This adaptability enabled them to maintain flexibility while ensuring consistent progress and alignment with their goals.

Gemma Rawlins, Head of Innovation at Marie Curie UK: With extensive experience in leading agile transformations, Gemma will provide valuable insights into the specific strategies and practices that facilitated this remarkable shift at Marie Curie. She will discuss the challenges faced, the solutions implemented, and the tangible benefits realized through their agile journey.
