- Overall aim
Sometimes trustees taking no risk in relation to trading or considering other funding routes beyond grant funding is not the best decision for the charity. We want to bring the sector together for this 'must attend' online event for charity board members, which will centre around social investment and OSCR’s advice on acting in the best interest of the charity, alongside Johnston and Carmichael’s view on assessing and mitigating risk.
There has never been a greater need for board members to think differently and to revisit their strategic approach, so this online event is an invitation to join us as we begin a conversation within the sector on this important topic.
- Description
Chaired by Kieran Daly, Head of Market Building, Social Investment Scotland, this 90-minute online event will include a discussion with our panel of guest speakers:
· Jason Glass, Director of Operations, Camphill Blair Drummond;
· Laura Anderson, Head of Professional Advice and Intelligence, OSCR;
· Scott J Jeffrey, Partner, Johnston Carmichael and ICAS Associate.
We really want to hear your views too, so following the panel discussion all of the participants will go into breakout rooms to continue the conversation in smaller groups.
- Who was the event aimed at?
This online event is for voluntary sector senior leaders and their board members who are interested in joining the conversation.
- Other Information
This online event will be a Zoom meeting, which allows all participants to see who else is in attendance and lets us use breakout rooms.
Please feel free to submit a question or comment in the online booking form.
