- Overview
An investment policy statement sets out a charity’s investment objectives and how it intends to achieve them. This enables trustees to demonstrate that they have complied with their duties and will also provide an investment manager with a framework to make informed decisions that align with your charitable purposes. This SCVO Trustee Network practical lunchtime webinar will look at:
- what you need to think about when deciding your investment objectives
- considering your short and long term financial commitments and spending plans
- key risks trustees need to consider
- any restrictions and ethical considerations
- performance benchmarks that will help assess an investment manager
- how you’d like to get reports on your investments
Join Fiona Gillespie, Head of Charities (Scotland) and Eve Sneddon, Assistant Investment Manager from Rathbones for expert advice on developing an investment policy statement and a chance to access a useful guide and template to create your policy document.
