My SCVO account service launch
We've launched My SCVO, a single sign-on account for our public services.
We spent the past year building My SCVO in-house as a shared authentication system that any of our public services can use, then migrated Funding Scotland's existing accounts across so they became the first accounts on the new system in conjunction with the launch of the new Funding Scotland website.
Signing up is straightforward: fill in your details, verify your email address, then choose whether to link your account to your organisation or continue as an individual. It's worth using a work email address in your own name where you can, as that makes it easier for the system to recognise which organisation you belong to. If your organisation is an SCVO member or supporter, linking your account gives you immediate access to the benefits and content that come with membership. There's no separate registration for each one, and no request to make to us. It's self-service.
Funding Scotland is the first service running fully with My SCVO accounts, with member-only Premium features. Other services will start using My SCVO accounts in due course.
