Last year SCVO supported a group of senior leaders from a wide range of organisations to launch a
Call to Action for a Digitally Confident Third Sector in Scotland.
More than 100 sector leaders discussed, debated and contributed their experiences, hopes and fears at an Unconference which helped to consolidate their thinking. Over the past year we understand that those leaders have been beavering away making change in priority areas within their organisations. We’ve been in touch with many of them through events, including our leadership discussion and practical seminars at The Gathering 2017, learning events with Skyscanner, Microsoft and
Google, and a whole range of subject specific
Meetup events. Our
Digital Pioneer case studies have highlighted changes organisations have been making.
Much progress has been made – and to celebrate the anniversary of the Call to Action launch
we’re inviting you to a second Unconference to assess progress, share learning and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
We’re asking you to come along ready to share the progress you’ve made, the challenges you’ve faced and the important digital issues you want to discuss. The day will be an active conversation which will start with food for thought around:
- “The need for leaders to embrace digital”
- “How boards can make a difference”
- “What does digital mean for funders”
The rest of the agenda will be set by you on the day, with the opportunity for you to run workshops on priority themes.
Following a networking lunch all of that content will be handed over to a smaller roundtable to do the work of developing an action plan to continue developing a digitally confident third sector in Scotland and guide our work on digital evolution for the next twelve months.
Given all our other events we expect places to book up fast. We welcome you to join us for the unconference in the morning. Those with a strong interest in shaping the digital agenda in Scotland’s third sector are also welcome to join us in the afternoon.
Grab a seat and sign up, let’s drive our organisations forward.
