Nominations open for Third Sector Partnership Award

Applications are now being accepted for the fifth Scottish Public Service Awards, which celebrate excellence within Scotland’s public services. The Awards, launched by Holyrood magazine in 2014, are held in association with the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament and offer an opportunity to showcase some of the most innovative and thought-provoking work being done across the country. This year the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) are proud to be sponsors of the Third Sector Partnership Award, which recognises excellence in public and third sector partnerships working to deliver better outcomes for communities. These partnerships provide the day-to-day public services that support and care for people and communities throughout Scotland - and they are often lifelines for vulnerable citizens who could otherwise go unnoticed. The judges will be looking for examples of excellent work with evidence of effective approaches which are supported by hard facts that demonstrate impact. If you’re a third sector organisation working with the public sector to deliver a service or a project that is making a big difference to people and communities, then this is the award for you. SCVO’s Chief Executive Anna Fowlie is on the judging panel of this year’s Awards: “The Scottish Public Service Awards have gone from strength to strength over the last 4 years.  The third sector plays a crucial, and growing, part in delivering public services in Scotland. Strong partnerships and innovative ideas are fundamental to their success.  I know there are great examples out there and I hope we’ll get lots of nominations so we can showcase the amazing work our sector does in communities across the country.” Nominations can be made by either of the partnership organisations and the people who are benefiting from the service here.
