The new trustees will play a key role in helping shape and support Scotland’s third sector whilst also ensuring that as an organisation, SCVO advances the interests of its members and the people and communities they support.
SCVO Convener Andrew Burns said he was delighted to welcome the new members to the Board.
He said: “As Convener, I’m delighted that individuals of the calibre of Sean, Fiona and Kenneth are joining the SCVO Board of Trustees.
“Together, they will significantly strengthen the breadth of skills on the Board; and I now look forward to working closely with them, and all of the existing Trustees, as we collectively continue to develop the next phase of SCVO’s important work.
“Now that the Board is up to full complement it’s my intention, at the forthcoming September meeting, to recommend that Theresa Shearer becomes Vice-Convener, and that Eliot Stark continues as Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee for his final year on the SCVO Board of Trustees.”
The new members join the Board of Trustees at a time when the organisation is embarking on a full strategic review engaging with all 1,800 members, as well as public and private sector stakeholders.
