SCVO colleague shortlisted for WomeninTech100 Awards!

An SCVO colleague has been shortlisted for a prestigious award that recognises women in tech across the UK. Sally Dyson – Head of Digital Participation and Evolution at SCVO – is one of 200 women shortlisted in WeAreTechWomen’s TechWomen100 Awards 2018, which seeks to recognise the impact of women leading the way for future generations of tech talent. Sally leads the participation strand of SCVO’s Digital Team, which aims to tackle digital exclusion in Scotland and build a digitally confident third sector. To date the team have signed almost 600 organisations up to the Digital Participation Charter, an initiative which encourages businesses, charities and public sector organisations to digitally skill up their workforces, customers and communities. Over the past four years Sally and the team have worked with the Scottish Government and BT to provide funding to 150 projects across Scotland to get people online and develop their basic digital skills, and have created an Essential Digital Skills Framework which identifies the key areas third sector organisations should consider when thinking about digital strategy.
