Since SCVO first opened the Community Capacity & Resilience Fund (CCRF) in 2015 voluntary organisations the length and breadth of Scotland have benefitted from grants of between £1k and £10k to support them to try new activities and new ways of working that help people deal with the challenges they face as a result of welfare reform
The types of projects supported will come as no surprise to those working at grassroots level in our communities – food growing and cooking on a budget; money management; health & well-being; benefit advice and support with universal credit; isolation; integration, to name but a few. The impact of all the CCRF funded projects to date on individuals, communities and indeed the organisations delivering support has been huge –
As we head into 2020 the need to support and help people deal with the challenges faced by welfare reform remains the same and we are delighted to say that the Community Capacity & Resilience Fund has c£140k to distribute in small grants for activity that starts at the beginning February and need to be completed by the end of October 2020.
If you work in a voluntary organisation that is tackling the impact of welfare reform that has an annual income of £250k or less why not get your thinking cap on and apply for funding to deliver a short- term project.
Closing date for applications is 13 December 2019.
