Social Power: How civil society can ‘Play Big’ and truly create change
Part of the Social Change Project, this report looks at what civil society could achieve if it were working to its full potential: how it could contribute to positive social change if it were working optimally and without constraint. It is based on a year-long conversation with a wide range of organisations including 38 Degrees, Save the Children , and the Eden Project, and identifies the characteristics, or habits, that are shared by effective change-makers, as well as the many constraints – both internal to the sector and external – that are stopping change-makers from being able to work in this way. The report concludes with recommendations for sector leaders, for government/regulators, and for funders.
