Why you should vote for Simon Community Scotland for the People’s Choice Award

We’re asking for your vote so we can share our achievements and be a resource and enabler for others to make cycling a core element of their workplace.

Life Cycles demonstrates the positive outcomes that any organisation can achieve in improving health and wellbeing, creating exciting and effective new services, connecting with staff, volunteers and people in need by adopting a commitment to make cycling accessible, affordable and available. From simple measures in becoming cycling friendly to creating ebike libraries it is possible to make a real and sustainable difference to our environment and our work and home communities.

Life Cycles combines our objectives for Healthy Working Lives, positively impacting on climate change and and better by design services. We chose cycling as a healthy, affordable and environmentally friendly means of travel, as well as being a fun one. Life Cycles equipped the people we support with bikes, redesigned street outreach to provide a greatly enhanced response to people in need, enabled and encouraged staff to cycle at home and at work. Cargo bikes replaced vans, ebikes replaced cars and outreach bikes connected with people in need outside the city centre.
