Funding is intended to help to bring woodlands into management; promote the economic and sustainable production of timber and timber products; add value and jobs to local economies; and provide support to facilitate and enable diversification.It supports investments in three main areas:1. new specialised equipment which will increase the local small-scale harvesting and processing capacity2. new specialised equipment for forest tree nurseries, including tree seed supply businesses and equipment for afforestation ground preparation projects, including forestry fencing projects3. support for the mobile equipment to help forestry businesses or enterprises to adapt and recover from Covid-19

This option has two distinct aims.1) Provides support for new access infrastructure that will bring small scale, undermanaged woodlands or inaccessible woodlands back into active management with the following aims: - to improve the economic value of forest and woodland through timber production- to increase the area of woodland in Scotland that is in sustainable management - to improve the environmental and social benefits of woodland.2) To provide support for new access infrastructure to new woodlands as part of the Sheep and Trees initiative. This initiative is aimed at raising awareness of the many opportunities woodland can bring to land managers.

Groups and organisations can apply for funding to help people understand how climate change affects their lives and what actions they can take. The Climate Engagement Fund will support groups to act as ‘trusted messengers’ in their communities, and lead climate change initiatives that: - reach all parts of society - build understanding - enable participation in policy development - encourage climate action Climate Engagement funding can be used for activities such as: - events, lectures, and festivals - climate conversations and workshops - interactive exhibitions and participatory arts - training and climate coaching - youth programmes and citizen science - informative games and mobile applications - staff costs directly linked to project design and deliveryThe project period is August 2025 to 31 March 2026, when all funded activity must be completed.

The Scottish Connections Fund offers funding to organisations to set up new projects to promote Scotland’s reputation and interests. You must also be able to demonstrate that your project:- has a clear link to at least one commitment in the Scottish Connections Framework- bring together or contribute to interests across sectors of activity (live/work, study, visit, do business, culture) - those multiple links will attract additional weighting during the scoring process- will increase vibrancy, visibility or connectivity between Scottish diaspora communities outside Scotland, or with Scotland itself- has a credible communications plan that promotes Scotland’s reputation as a place to live, work, visit, study, and do business- promotes inclusion and diversity, for example working in historically marginalised communities and groups, such as with minority ethnic Scots and LGBTQ communities, or encouraging participation of women and young people- is co-funded, where possible

Funding for youth-led projects that work with young people experiencing inequality to engage with them on the climate emergency.
