SCVO supply partner selection process
One way we support SCVO members to achieve their ambitions is by partnering with suppliers who can offer good value for money on quality products and services.
To help meet the delivery costs of managing and marketing our supply partner deals, we broker a commission income from all our partners. This is agreed on a case by case basis.
Supply partners are selected on the following criteria:
- Partner understands the values of SCVO and Scotland’s voluntary sector
- Specific offer to SCVO members that is of good value
- There is a need for the product or service
- Two references from voluntary sector organisations
- Signed agreement to our code of conduct
- Authorised by SCVO cross-departmental committee
- Partner has a defined complaints procedure
- Partner has a defined customer service and after sales support policy
- Products and services to be supplied are safe and of good quality
SCVO reserves the right to accept or reject supply partner applications in accordance with our selection criteria and will endeavour to enter relationships that offer good value and are in the best interests of our members, the Scottish voluntary sector and SCVO.
SCVO partners with suppliers who share our values. We do not partner exclusively with any specific organisation(s). Highlighting suppliers to SCVO members is not an endorsement or recommendation on our part. We offer no guarantees over the quality and suitability of any supplier for any particular SCVO member. It is the responsibility of our members to discuss their requirements with our supply partners to ensure they can meet their needs.
Review procedure:
To ensure SCVO members are consistently receiving good value and service, we regularly review our suppliers using:
- Annual reviews
- Annual member surveys from those who have used the service
- Monthly review of complaint register
