This page contains information you need to know before the SCVO Senior Leaders Programme commences. Please review it carefully as there are actions for you to take ahead of your introductory session in February 2022.
By taking part in our SCVO Senior Leaders Programme, we expect you to:
The success of the Programme sits with you and your fellow cohort members. Commitment of both time and input – before, during and after the sessions – is vital to ensure you achieve the most for you and your organisation.
Each session will start at 9.30 a.m. with input from an expert speaker and finish at 12:30 p.m.
Each session utilises Action Learning methodology where you will challenge and be challenged by your peers and explore the topic together. Sessions are a safe, supportive and confidential space.
The first session is an introduction where you will be given the opportunity to begin unravelling your organisations’ key issues and start to develop your evolution road map.
Following the introduction session you will take part in four topic-based sessions and one final ‘your evolution map’ session.
Please be aware that each zoom session will be sent out as an outlook calendar invitation.
On occasion at the end of a session you may be asked to carry out topic based directed work. It is anticipated that this work should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete and can be done on your own and/ or with your team, for example, write down and share on Slack your organisation’s Digital mission.
We want to ensure that the conversations as a cohort flow throughout your programme. To enable you to support each other, share thoughts, resources, challenges and break throughs each Cohort will use the Senior Leaders Slack Group.
All directed work, session reminders and information will be sent to you using Slack.
Download the free Slack desktop app and the mobile app from the App store (iPhone) or Google Play store (Android) and join the SCVO Senior leader Slack workspace. When you have joined please do say ‘hello’.
You will then be added to your private Cohort Slack group.
Ahead of your introduction we ask that you to prepare a 3-minute presentation using a reduced PechaKucha method. We’d like you do 10X20, that’s 10 images (no text) @ 20 seconds each, which you can upload to slack before the first session and deliver on the day.
We want to hear:
Please use whichever presentation tool and/or app you feel comfortable with.
