Course overview

This online course with Pamela Redpath will look at financial roles and responsibilities within a voluntary sector organisation, why you need financial information, how to use it and how it impacts on others.

It can be studied as a standalone course or in conjunction with the other "All things financial" course Annual accounting, governance and reporting - book both courses, get 10% off the 2nd!

Overall course aim

The aim of this online course is to look at how to get the financial planning right within your organisation by setting project and organisational budgets that are realistic and cover full costs of service delivery, how to monitor the budgets and recognise when to take corrective action.

It will also look at cash flow management as another essential tool for maintaining good financial health.

There will also be time to take a brief look at financial systems and how getting them right is essential, not just for sound financial control but also for efficiency and effectiveness and making the most of the always limited financial staffing resources.
