Overview

A session with the First Minister’s Strategic Policy Unit, the Scottish Government team responsible for coordinating the Programme for Government (PfG).

Description

At this session, the Policy Network will have the opportunity to meet the team responsible for the coordination of the Programme for Government. The PfG is published each year after the summer recess. It sets out the Government’s strategic priorities and the actions it will take over the coming year. It also includes the legislative programme for the parliamentary year.

The team will:

  • Introduce themselves and their remit
  • Offer reflections on this year's PfG process
  • Share thoughts on how changes to the PfG process may impact influencing approaches
  • Share how progress on PfG commitments are monitored

The team are currently evaluating this year’s PfG process. A discussion will follow, which will offer Policy Network members the opportunity to share their reflections on the process. Join us to share your views.
