Overview

Is your charity sitting on cash in the bank earning low or no interest? Whatever your organisation’s financial situation, there are good governance measures you can apply to ensure you are making the most out of your resources. From short term cash in the bank to operational reserves or longer-term funds, Celia Waring from CCLA will lead this webinar to explore key questions trustees might want to raise to ensure all charity funds are maximised.

Description

The webinar will explore the following questions:

  • Have you reviewed your financial position recently?
  • Are you clear on what is immediate cash versus operational reserves versus longer-term reserves?
  • Are you clear on your short, medium, long term aims for your reserves? E.g. aim to build up a 6-month operational reserve over the next 2 years)
  • Have you committed your aims to paper in a policy?
  • What should a policy include (even if your only assets are cash in the bank for immediate spending)
  • Policy templates will be shared after the webinar.
