This free online short course is designed for small to medium organisations that want to learn more about the basics of fundraising.
This pilot course will be delivered by Kirsty Young, SCVO's Funding Scotland Development Officer. It will be participatory, with breakout sessions, in which you are encouraged to keep your camera on and engage in the session.
We would welcome your feedback to build upon this first session, and so please take the time to complete the post-course survey with any comments you may have.

Participants will gain an introduction to different types of fundraising, including:
- Searching for trust funding
- Writing applications
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Community and events fundraising
- Course objectives
By the end of this online course, participants will have:
- A broad understanding of the different types of fundraising and what is relevant for your organisation
- More knowledge about finding and applying for funding and managing relationships with funders
- An increased confidence in managing community and events fundraising

There are no formal entry requirements, however you should have a role or interest in fundraising.
