- Overall aim
Join us online to hear more about Scotmid Co‑operative’s community funding, the different funds available, and how groups can access support for local projects and initiatives.
- Description
Scotmid Co‑operative will explain how their community funding supports a wide range of local activity, from small‑scale events and equipment to larger community projects. Attendees will gain an overview of Scotmid’s main funding opportunities, including:
- Community Grants – grants of up to £500 for equipment, events or fundraising activity
- Member Choice Awards – awards of up to £5,000 for larger‑scale community projects
- Community Orchard Funding – up to £200 to purchase fruit‑bearing trees or shrubs
- Voucher Donations – vouchers to support events or fundraising
The session will outline the types of organisations and projects that can be supported, key eligibility considerations, and offer practical advice on choosing the most appropriate fund and making a strong application.
In addition, Kirsty Young, SCVO’s Funding Scotland Development Officer, will deliver a short input on Funding Scotland and the wider support SCVO provides to organisations seeking funding. Kirsty will be available to answer questions during the Q&A.
The webinar will conclude with an opportunity to ask questions and connect with other community and voluntary organisations.
