Course overview

Join us for this 2-part learning series, delivered in partnership with The Donaldson Trust, to build your understanding of neurodiversity and develop practical skills for creating more neuroinclusive workplaces. You'll explore what neurodiversity means, challenge common misconceptions, and learn how to turn awareness into meaningful, everyday action.

Overall course aim

To help participants develop a strengths-based understanding of neurodiversity, build confidence in applying current best practice, and create inclusive environments where neurodivergent people feel valued, supported and able to thrive.

Course objectives

This interactive 2-part course takes participants on a journey from understanding to action.

In the first session, you'll explore the meaning of neurodiversity, challenge common myths and misconceptions, and consider how moving from a deficit-based view to a strengths-based approach can create more inclusivity.

The second session builds on the previous session by exploring different types of neurodivergence, developing an understanding of executive function, and identifying practical, everyday actions that support neuroinclusive cultures.

Who is the course aimed at?

Ideal for anyone working in the voluntary sector, including frontline practitioners, support workers, managers, team leaders, HR professionals, volunteer managers, administrators, reception and customer service staff, project officers and coordinators.

No previous knowledge of neurodiversity is required.
