Overview

Hosted by SCVO’s Digital Participation Team, this event will explore the Essential Digital Skills framework, and its relevance in a post-pandemic landscape. So much has changed for digital participation in the past 18 months, and we want to make sure this is reflected in the Essential Digital Skills framework. We will use the input from this session to inform any updates to the framework in Scotland.

Description

This is a participatory co-production workshop. We are inviting participants to contribute their experiences and insights as to how relevant the current framework is, and whether we should make any updates. In particular, we will explore Foundation Digital Skills, and each of the 5 life skills in turn:

·      Communicating

·      Handling information and content

·      Problem solving

·      Transacting

·      Being safe, legal and confident online

Facilitators:

Aaron Slater, Digital Participation Manager, SCVO

Claire Sharp, Digital Participation Development Officer, SCVO

Who was the event aimed at?

This session is for anyone working to advance digital participation in Scotland, in the voluntary or public sector. It will be of particular interest to organisations delivering in Connecting Scotland or delivering digital skills support.

Other Information

We really want to hear your views and share your experiences so this event will be a Zoom meeting, which allows all participants to see who else is in attendance and lets us use breakout rooms so the conversation can continue in smaller groups.

Also, please feel free to submit a question or comment in the online booking form.

We will partly facilitate this session through a digital tool called Miro, and everyone will be given the link to access this in the session.
