- Overview
Join us for an inspiring session on how content design principles can contribute to sustainability and help you do your part in the fight against climate change.
Our expert speakers will share their personal journey of anxiety around how to make a difference and how they discovered that good content design is sustainable by default. They'll highlight how minimalism is built into content design best practice.
At the heart of content design is the mantra 'less is more.' This session will explain how to effectively remove content or argue against creating it, as much as producing more of it. We'll also discuss how content design considers not just words, but also images and video, making sure they earn their place by helping the user.
Organisations that aren't taking a content design approach are missing a trick. Through thought-provoking questions such as "does this content need to exist?" and "could it be shorter?", content design can help users and, ultimately, the planet.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn how content design principles can contribute to sustainability and help you make a positive impact. Join us for an engaging talk that will leave you with practical tips and inspiration to implement in your own work.
Ray Newman is a content design consultant with SPARCK/BJSS and spent 2022 working on projects with the NHS. He’s been working in content and communications for 20+ years and writes ghost stories in his spare time.
Sarah Clive, Content Lead, Barnardos (Innovation Lab). Experienced content designer Sarah Clive will also be joining us for this Digishift to look at how taking a modular approach to content design can deliver more value with less content.
