Saltire Awards re-launch
The Saltire Awards website was recently re-launched with a new website frontend built by SCVO. This was developed in-house by SCVO in close collaboration with TSIs (Third Sector Interfaces). Find out more about TSI Network Scotland. TSIs across the whole of Scotland will administer the Saltire Awards at a local level and SCVO will assist in supporting and maintaining the service.
The Saltire Awards service was first launched nationally on 1 April 2012 and replaced the MV Award as the Scottish Government’s national recognition programme for young volunteers.
The Saltire Awards are designed for young people aged between 12 and 25 who currently volunteer.
There are 4 sections to the Awards:
- Challenge
- Approach
- Ascent
- Summit
Volunteers progress through the various stages but also have the option to enter and exit the programme at any level. The age range for each section is flexible and dependent on individual circumstances.
