SCVO believes that a successful and equitable partnership between the voluntary and public sectors is vital to achieving the best outcomes for people and communities. Voluntary organisations play an essential role in Scotland’s economy and society, working in partnership across sectors, delivering public services, and supporting resilient communities.
Current areas of focus
We confidently articulate the challenges, barriers, and successful practices that voluntary organisations experience in partnership working with the public sector and can draw upon robust sector-wide evidence. We aim to identify projects and processes to build understanding and recognition of the added value of collaboration and a commitment to the necessary steps to include the sector as an equal partner.
