Digital inclusion sessions

Digital inclusion is a team effort, so we've designed a series of workshops that we can deliver in-house for free for voluntary sector organisations. These sessions have been designed to accelerate your digital inclusion work, bringing in the expertise of our team to help you along the way.

Our approach

Our sessions cover a wide range of areas, from introducing the fundamentals of digital inclusion to fostering collaboration and leveraging community resources. Some of the sessions are great for the whole organisation, and some are better suited to a smaller group tasked with leading your digital inclusion work (ideally a mix of managers and frontline workers/volunteers). Our interactive workshops and hands-on activities can cover the following topics:

  • Understand the importance of digital inclusion: a session for the wider workforce to introduce digital inclusion and build support for your work.
  • Digital inclusion strategy: a session for a smaller group to develop your approach to digital inclusion.
  • Digital Champions: a session for a smaller group to plan how you'll recruit, train, and support a dedicated team of Digital Champions.
  • Workforce digital skills: a session for a smaller group to plan a digital skills audit and address gaps within your workforce.
  • Asset mapping: a session for the wider workforce to map resources and leverage external partnerships for maximum impact.

We understand that every organisation is unique, with its own set of challenges and goals. That's why our Digital Inclusion Sessions are completely customisable to meet your specific requirements. Whether you're just starting your digital inclusion journey or looking to enhance your existing efforts, we'll work closely with you to craft a bespoke solution that addresses your organisation's needs sustainably.

Top Tip

These are our top tips to help you make the most of our Digital Inclusion Sessions:

  • Before you start, we recommend that you explore our 'understanding' webpage and do some research on digital inclusion and user research. This helps set the context for your work and enables us to tailor our sessions.
  • Do our Digital Inclusion Maturity Check-up to identify where you already have strengths as an organisation, and to understand where your gaps are. This will help guide your conversations with our team.
  • Consider setting up a small group to help design and lead your digital inclusion work. It's best to involve people from the start, from all parts of the organisation. Some of our sessions will be more targeted to this group of digital leaders rather than the wider workforce.
