A greener Gathering

SCVO is committed to making this year’s Gathering greener, so to help us reduce our carbon footprint, here are some ways that you can play your part too!

Go veggie for the day

All catering in our networking spaces will be exclusively vegetarian, with a fantastic choice of options for everyone. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and lunch if you prefer.

Reuse and recycle

We'll be keeping print materials and merchandise to a minimum at this year's Gathering. Instead, you'll find information on screens and on recyclable/reusable signage around the venue. You'll also be able to access more information via QR codes, so make sure you connect to the free WiFi available at the EICC. Of course, you'll also find lots of friendly faces from the SCVO team to help you with information too.

There will be recycling bins located around the EICC, so please use these to dispose of any recyclable waste and limit your use of single-use plastics wherever possible.

Another easy way to help us create a greener Gathering is by bringing your own reuseable cup for tea and coffee. Keep your drinks warmer for longer and help to protect the environment - it's a win, win!

Think about travel

We're encouraging delegates to use active travel or public transport options wherever possible, to help us achieve our aim of delivering a greener Gathering.

There are lots of different ways to get to the EICC, you'll find the information on their website. Further information on accessible parking is available on the EICC’s general accessibility page.
