- Overview
A session with Professor John Curtice on UK General Election results.
- Description
The UK General Election is set to take place on 4 July 2024. While current polling predicts a huge loss in Conservative seats, and a landslide victory for the Labour Party, new data from the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) also suggests that public trust in politicians is at a record low. Â
We are delighted to welcome electoral expert Professor John Curtice, who will offer an analysis of the General Election results, how these might impact the Scottish Parliamentary elections in 2026, and insight into why current public attitudes towards government and politicians are so low. A Q&A will follow. Â
Speaker:Â
- Professor John Curtice, Senior Research Fellow at NatCen and Professor of Politics at Strathclyde University Â
