Overview

In 2025, the social media and wider digital landscape continues to change more rapidly than ever. In this expert-led session, we’ll look at how to build successful digital campaigns in 2025, covering the core insights, strategies, and approaches you need to thrive in a rapidly changing environment - in particular recent changes to Meta and X.

Our guest speakers are Ali Walker Davies and Serena Snoad.

Ali Walker Davies is a seasoned professional in digital mobilisation and fundraising, currently serving as the Acting Chief Executive Officer at Forward Action, a digital mobilisation agency. With extensive experience in digital strategy, copywriting, and fundraising, she has held pivotal roles at Shelter, English Heritage, Blue State Digital, and Open. At Forward Action, she leads on developing digital mobilisation programmes and partnerships, helping organisations engage supporters and drive meaningful change.

Serena Snoad is an online community expert with over 15 years of experience, specialising in healthcare and patient-focused organisations. She currently leads Good Community, a consultancy she founded in 2021, dedicated to helping community professionals build ethical and effective online communities. Her career includes key roles at the Alzheimer's Society UK, where she served as Online Community Manager, and contributions to the CMX Connect London chapter, which she co-founded in 2019. Serena is also a sought-after speaker and panellist at a number of online community conferences and events.

We have more expert guest speakers joining us - full announcement soon!

Description

This online session will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Trends for 2025: understand the latest innovations and how to use them to boost your impact
  • Data-driven strategy: learn how to use analytics effectively to inform your campaign decisions and target your audience effectively
  • Online spaces becoming more politicised: with Meta rolling back content moderation and recommending political content on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, we’ll explore how this shift could influence digital campaigns. This controversial move is opening the floodgates for echo chambers but also presents opportunities to amplify progressive causes and vital third sector messaging
  • Choosing channels and platforms: with more organisations transitioning away from platforms like X (Twitter), discover how to choose the best platforms for your goals
Who is the event aimed at?

Anyone looking to use digital channels to effectively reach their audiences and advance their organisational goals.
