- Overview
Morton Fraser MacRoberts, our partners in the SCVO Legal Advice Service, will offer essential practical tips to ensure legal compliance through difficult times. Presented by charity law experts, they will outline the steps charities should be taking to:
- Monitor risk
- Maximise financial resilience
- React to early warning signs
They will outline practical governance steps to deal with potentially difficult decisions, including those concerning employment, contracts, property and governance.
The session will interlace tips from practical experience, OSCR guidance and OSCR inquiry reports with a refresh of the core legal framework for charity law compliance. It will also cover some of the common areas of dispute amongst charity trustees and observations on how to navigate and avoid these.
