Back in July, Chris
blogged about a great opportunity for third sector organisations to showcase the amazing work that they are doing with digital as part of the
Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards.
We had a fantastic response from a wide range of organisations and Chris looked enthused and exhausted after the judging! After quite a few weeks of keeping the big secret I was fortunate to be at the awards along with
Susan Murray, who had the privilege of announcing the winner.
It appears that the range of entries were of such high quality that the judging panel decided to make a special commendation award as well as the winning award.
Congratulations go to the first winner of the Charity and Social Enterprise Award
Euan's Guide and
Carr Gomm who were highly commended.
Alongside these awards it was great to see
RNIB and
eCom Scotland win the
Education and Training Award sponsored by City of Glasgow College for Accessible eLearning for Blind and Partially Sighted People.
We look forward to hearing more from the winners across the year and seeing more participation from Scotland’s third sector organisations in all categories next year.
