Our coronavirus information hub has grown fast. What started in March as a single guidance page linked from a banner on our homepage is now one of the biggest sections of our site.
The banner went up on 10 March, before lockdown was even announced, pointing to a page of guidance for voluntary organisations on how to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Within days that page needed its own section. Within weeks that section needed FAQs, grouped and categorised by topic, an eligibility checker, and application forms for emergency funds including the Third Sector Resilience Fund and the Wellbeing Fund. We added a search facility directly on the hub itself, because by April there was too much content to browse by menu alone.
Keeping it accurate has meant daily standup calls with a wide group of staff across the organisation, since guidance from government and funders has been changing by the day. Each change means checking what's on the hub still holds, updating what doesn't, and signposting people to the right Third Sector Interface or funder where we're not the right point of contact ourselves.
The info hub is still growing. You can find it at scvo.scot/support/coronavirus.
