Phew, hard to believe that it’s the end of the year already! It’s been a fantastic 12 months for us with lots of projects and events on the go. Here is a quick round-up of an exciting year:
Challenge Fund
After two successful rounds of the Challenge Fund supporting over 50 digital participation projects across Scotland, we were delighted to be able to launch Challenge round three. We now have
84 projects in receipt of support, all doing amazing grass roots work to increase
Basic Digital Skills.
Digital Participation Charter
We now have
160 signatories to our Digital Participation Charter. That’s 160 amazing organisations committed to promoting digital participation and digital skills in Scotland. To make it easier for organisations to do this and deliver tangible support to some of our projects, we have developed an exciting new digital
platform.
Milo
We've been working hard to modernise Milo. Over the summer Milo migrated to a new Salesforce system to improve functionality and make it more fit for purpose.
Events
From workshops at the Gathering in February to DigiScotFest events in Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles and a fantastic Scotland’s Digital Future event at Mansfield Traquair Centre, it’s safe to say team Digital have been busy bees bringing the digital participation movement to all corners of Scotland.
One Digital
We are so excited to be starting our Big Lottery funded One Digital project. This 12 month test and learn pilot is a great opportunity for us to better understand how to make a sustainable improvement to the Basic Digital Skills of those most in need.
We have big plans for the future including a grand launch of the new
Charter platform, and with One Digital getting fully underway it’s set to be another busy and exciting year :)
On behalf of the
Digital team I would like to thank everyone for the continued support for our program. We love doing what we do and working towards a future where everyone in Scotland has the digital skills to thrive.
From all of us here have a fantastic Christmas and a very happy New Year.
