Wanted - your stories to inspire others to get online

The question of how we inspire and encourage people to help others get online and make better use of the internet is usually near the front of my mind and top of my agenda. So, I’m really pleased that we’re going to have an opportunity this October to really highlight and showcase the work that’s going on across Scotland to help people get online. The Scottish Government is leading on a campaign called Let’s Get On which will work with media all across Scotland to raise awareness of the benefits of being online. The campaign needs your stories to help bring that to life and I’d encourage you to get involved. To showcase what’s going on, we need to know more about what everyone is doing and what’s working really well. So it’s time to stop hiding your light under a bushel and let us help you share all your great stories to inspire and encourage others. Before sending us your fantastic stories there are a couple of things to bear in mind:

1. The stories don’t have to be long or beautifully crafted, we’d just like to know the key information which can then be turned into a case study. If you’ve got a high resolution photo that would be brilliant
2. Local press might want to get in touch with you or the people you’ve helped. Please be prepared for this by asking for permission to publish the stories
