Seven Friends Foundation provides small grants to organisations that fulfil their charitable aims:- To support and promote causes that are ignored, unpopular or face widespread stigma- Create stronger local communities that include those who have previously been excluded or marginalised- Improve skills, infrastructure, sustainability and collaboration within the third sectorThe Foundation wants to support those organisations and causes that are unpopular or do not receive widespread public attention. This could be due to negative focus within the media; due to difficulty in accessing statutory, voluntary and institutional funding; due to the cause being seen as politically controversial; or because the issue is not typically seen as a charitable cause. Examples of these types of causes or groups may be:- Asylum seekers and refugees- Migrant communities- Offenders and ex-offenders- People experiencing violence or abuse- Sex workers- Trafficking and modern slavery- Dependency or Addiction- LGBT+- Sexual and reproductive healthThey look to support organisations to undertake work and projects which are sustainable beyond the period of funding.

The Strathleven Foundation's Helping Hand Fund is aimed at constituted community groups and charities either based in Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven or support people and/or activities in this area. The grant criteria have been made as unrestricted as possible to recognise the diverse opportunities which exist in these communities. Strathleven Foundation Trustees will prioritise applications which contribute to at least one of the following:- The prevention or relief of poverty - The advancement of education - The advancement of health - The advancement of citizenship or community development - The advancement of arts, culture, heritage, and science - The advancement of public participation in sport - The promotion of equality and diversity - The advancement of environmental protection or improvement.

The Fuze Foundation’s Making a Difference Grant offers to support a small, registered Scottish charity delivering a meaningful project in Scotland.Applications are particularly encouraged from projects that demonstrate:- A clearly identified community need- A measurable and lasting impact- Good value for money- Support for vulnerable or disadvantaged people- Promotion of equality, dignity and inclusion- Sustainable outcomes beyond the life of the grant- Strong alignment with the charitable purposes and values of [The Fuze Foundation](https://fuzeceremonies.co.uk/fuze-foundation/)The grant is open to projects that reflect the Foundation’s Humanist values of compassion, dignity, equality, education and community support. Funding may support a complete project or contribute towards the cost of a larger initiative. The Granite Heart Fund offers small grants to support charities, voluntary groups and initiatives working to make a positive difference in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, in particular those not in receipt of regular funding or income. Funded through their community charity shops and generous supporters, they award grants regularly up to £350, with larger awards considered.They prioritise projects that deliver real benefit to local people and communities, and which align with their charitable objectives.Applications must demonstrate a clear benefit to the community in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and support at least one of Granite Heart’s charitable purposes, which include:- a. Relief of poverty: helping people and communities experiencing poverty, hardship or disadvantage;- b. Education & skills: supporting learning, skills development, and access to education for all ages;- c. Community development: improving the social, economic and environmental well-being of communities;- d. Health & wellbeing: promoting the preservation and protection of health by improving access to healthcare, promoting mental well-being and tackling health inequalities;- e. Quality of life: providing support, assistance, and resources to those impaired by age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage to improve their quality of life and well-being;- f. Citizenship, diversity & equity: strengthening communities through inclusion, diversity, equality and cohesion;- g. Arts, culture & science: promoting arts, culture, heritage and science in ways that enrich local life;- h. Sports & recreation: encouraging participation in sport and physical activity for better well-being; and- i. Conservation, nature & wildlife: protecting the environment, promoting sustainability, and caring for animals.
